SIMULATION
DERSec’s Digital Twin Technology is a real-time simulation model of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). It is designed to monitor, predict, and optimize DER operations, providing a cyber-physical security layer.
Creates a virtual representation of DER infrastructure, including inverters, batteries, and microgrid controllers.
Simulates expected operations and detects deviations from normal behavior.
Adjusts control strategies based on real-time grid conditions.
Runs simulated cyber-attack scenarios to assess system resilience.
HOW IT WORKS
DER attributes such as voltage, frequency, power output, and control settings are mapped.
Data from SCADA, smart inverters, and DERMS is compared against digital twin outputs.
If an attacker manipulates DER control settings, the digital twin detects mismatches and triggers alerts.
Uses machine learning to forecast attack scenarios and improve grid resilience strategies.
